Up until last year, Amtrak had Mail & Express services with boxcars, mailcars, refregerator cars, and RoadRailers. The cars often rode behind Amtrak's many cross-country trains. Very rarely will you find them today.

That statement is incorrect, amtrak stopped refridgerator service last year, mail stopped around 2002, and you will never see the cars in active service on amtrak again.

Nice, but could you get a daytime shot of them? At first I thought they were Superliners. :hehe: I'd love to see some day shots of em. (Yeah my graphics card is acting up so I can't see em myself) Plus I'm sure people here would like to see some good shots of the Surfliner cars.

Thanks for the correction there...

either way, Amtrak probly wont ever see trains that long again. I remeber watching #3 leave Albuquerue with 5 units, one bag car, transition, 2 sleepers, diner, lounge, and two coachs. Then a ton of MHC cars. In all the train was 39 cars long.

I got other plans for Amtrak, in terms of making and playing with more stuff, like creating a Amtrak Shed ... then I'll release everything .... Also, my good buddy Wiley is making some Amtrak Train Track splines ...

Yep I know ...I've read that, and that's 1 reason that, we creators, sometimes just get upset.

However, what can we do ...? I'll just keep creating them for us poor folks who have the version to run any paint shed rolling stocks!!
