Hi guys, Sorry to be a pain, but I also read the manual and I was able to set it up as indicated. I've only been successful in "Static mode" to unload three (3) 40ft containers from a train of eight Wellcars, then it went on strike and didn't finish the job. In "Dynamic mode", I had no luck at all (maybe it might be wise to include specific driver commands, or whether the 'Crane' requires additional commands, etc. ). However I've not been able to load an empty train from the Cheetah Chassis via the Mi-Jack crane in "Static or Dynamic mode". There still must be something missing in the instructions, such as,.... Placement of train to the 'Ramp' or in the 'Loading Area' (maybe a specific track-mark is required ?). I think we are all looking for specifics,...such as "If you do this, and that, then you can expect this to happen". We need something a little more clearer, thanks,

The train has to park over the industry trigger and in between the end points of the loading area - obviously the crane can not travel outside of this area. there are no other requirements to begin either the load or unload process. if you do not stop the train with some part of it over the trigger then the industry cannot being the process. you want to bring up your message window and see if it notifies you that it will being loading/unloading in one minute. in the meantime, the locomotives can be cut from the train or other operations performed, but the train that caused the trigger must remain contacting the trigger in some way. once the process starts the industry will lock the train from further control (the hud for controls will go away).

in a loading scenario the crane will move to the nearest load to it's current position and attempt to load the car closest to the front of the train. if the next loaded item is very far from the crane it might pause for a bit to find it. this process should continue until the crane has run out of space to fill on the train. if the crane waits for a very long time (30 mins) it may decide the job is completed because nothing else is arriving or is available.

in an unloading scenario a similar process takes place except the crane will move to the first car in the train that it can unload (from the front) and will begin unloading it when it finds a suitable place to put the load.

the industry determines if the crane can move a load by first checking the vehicle with the load, either the traincar or the truck chassis, and seeing if the crane can actually attach to this item. if it can the industry then looks for a suitable location to place this load. if that is found the crane is instructed to move to position itself over the load and transfer it from the source vehicle to the destination vehicle.

This is typically what you see if you have not updated to SP1 HF4 (build 61388) because those functions do not exist in earlier builds. These are less buggy and improved functions in 61388.
 
How do I get the semi trucks to come in loaded with containers to load onto the train? :confused: I think I have the rest figured out...LOL Thank you!

I am trying to figure that out, too. When clicking on the Portal the trucks come out of, I can see the "Red semi" and "Cheetah chassis", but I cannot find "40ft Standard containers" in the menu to select. Hopefully someone will address that, here, soon.
 
Ok, got them to come out of the portal loaded! Now they are just driving through the facility and out the other side....LOL How do I get them to stop? DOH!

Hey guys, the route looks awesome. However, I'm missing 1 single dependency I can't find anywhere. TKI says it's a weathered container and that it's 'abandoned'.

I've downloaded all the container packs and installed all of them, no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've just checked there; found a set of 45ft containers, however even though the very kuid I'm searching for wasn't listed, download didn't work. Still out of luck here, it seems...

Ok, I am getting closer. I have the semi trucks bringing in loaded container trailers at one minute intervals. They come in and line up behind Adair, which has an empty trailer, and is already parked. The crane grabs the closest trailer and brings it to the first well car. It then grabs the container directly behind Adair and loads in on top of the first container to make the double stack. It will only load about three well cars, and says "waiting for the next load". Now my question is how do I setup Adair, I think he is making it so the trucks don't leave after the container is lifted off them. His commands right now are wait until all is loaded, and autopilot.
 
I'm still lacking <kuid:334896:120008>. It's the only missing dep for me, and trying to either remove or replace it in the config won't work for some reason. Help is much appreciated.

everything is in the files you download at the site or built in or on the download station. there are absolutely NO assets missing. This has been checked and re-checked again and again. those items you listed are the actual industry and intermodal ramp objects.

Apparently the same kuid but 120009 is now gone too. Okay, then Trainz. Same deal as the one above. 'Abandoned'...
