AI train goes too fast when coupling

How do I fix this?
The Trainz AI has always coupled rolling stock at the same speed and in the same rough manner that it does now. There is no way, that I know of, to change this. It has never been an issue for me, nor do I recall it ever being raised in the forums before.

What speed do you want it to couple at? Different railways and different rolling stock would have different restrictions or practices.

Only 2 years? I would say that it is not a high priority issue, not when compared to the many, many other issues. I have certainly never considered it an important issue but that is purely my opinion.

Ever since the early days of Trainz locomotives have bunted their carriages half way down the platform when running around.
Nobody likes it and N3V isn't interested in doing anything about it any time 'soon'.

I would not say "isn't interested", its a matter of priorities. This issue is obviously important to some users but not to the extent that "nobody likes it". There are other issues that I would personally rate as far more important and thus more deserving of their attention, time and limited resources, but each user will have their own opinions.

I've had l had locomotives derail freight wagons when coupling to them on a siding. I have them drive or navigate to a nearby track mark then I take over to perform the coupling. It's safer that way.

You're not a politician by any chance because you sound like one.
