AI load and unload, ugh!!

Okay, I have been making some intensive ai trains in the Murchesson 2 addon.

I have one freight that goes from pacific freight "coils on" up to another "coils off."
I have the gondolas configured to accept the load and if I control the train and bring it to the industry load area they load fine, so I know I have that correct.

However I can't get the ai trains to get anywhere near the load area. I give the commands "drive to multiload track" and also to go to a trackmark just past the load area and it still stops at the same spot. The driver gives an alert to the effect of "waiting for access to track." This is odd because there is nothing in the way and there is a bumper on the other end, so it isn't another train on the opposite side.

This is a fully patched version of 2009 with a patched Murch 2.

Also, The loaders seem to miss a few cars when rolling the consist through the mineral loader.

Any ideas?

By 'bumper' do you mean a buffer stop - I suspect you do...

If so, try putting an invisible signal at the same place as the buffers, that way the end of the line is demarked from the rest of the line more clearly. It usually solves problems with AI trains not being willing to go into a section of track.

you may want to put a load/unload command after drive to command

Ah, I should have mentioned that I was doing that.

I have tried 'drive to' and 'navigate to' in front of 'load.' all carriages seem to want to stop just short of where the loading area starts.

One other thing I noticed, if I build a train near that same spot sometimes it add what I would says is an "invisible carriage." Meaning the locomotive will be attatched to the train, but there is a space of about 15 feet betweent the couplers.

weird

Okay, ill try that. I didn't want to change the Murch 2 route, but after messing with it for about 4 months now, I really got a chance to realize its many shortcomings.

What type INDs are you using? LARS,ProtoLars, MIN.?

Um , err... I don't know? It is what came with Murch 2. When I click on it the for the details in surveyor it comes up with multiple producets, has an orange background and says 'www.trainzproroutes.com."

UPDATE: good lord there is an invisible consist in the loading area. WTH?

I just noticed on the mini map that there was a consist listed but I can't see it. Why would someone do that?

Interesting. Clicking on "remove train' did nothing so I dragged a gondola to it, coupled, then deleted the consist.
how incredibly odd.

Murch 2, when under scrutiny, is not as perfect as I had hoped. I really thought I could pick through how it was built to learn how to make a great route but wow.

Odd... is the car on every industry or just the one?

I can't think why it would be there...

I must have put it there at some point :'(

I noticed there is a flat car that is invisible. I must have selected that, added it and saw nothing so I igniored it. <sigh>

well it look you have a lars product and if it a protoLarsIndustrail then you have to leave the train still for 1 minutes before it begain to load then wait till all the cars are loaded.
With a Lars Industry command drive to then a load command is needed.
