The automated "driverless" trains that run in the real world are either pre-programmed or are remotely controlled by a real human driver who is always located close to the office cappuccino machine. AI is not yet used to control trains (apart from in the Trainz world).
This is about to change with a project underway to add AI systems to "driverless" trains.
