After DLS into CMP: assets scattered

When in Surveyor I have noticed the following:
In the Structures: The "people" section is 100% people, but there are over 40 added (CMP) people scattered among "scenery" and "road".
(1) How do I move them to the correct section?
(2) Do the assets files will have to be removed, so CMP can re-commit?

What is really commit?
What is the step by step actions needed. I am having some problems, getting messages downloaded did not commit.

This problem occurs because the creator has used a config.txt file from a non-people asset. This results in the category-class entry being incorrect. For example you will find many people under trees because category-class was left at "FT" instead of changing it to "OH".

For all the people assets with wrong category:

open asset for edit in explorer.
open config.txt file in notepad.
change category-class entry to "OH". Make sure you don't do this "OH ". Space does not work before closing quotes.
save config.txt and close Notepad.
Close asset window and Right Mouse Click on asset in CMP and Edit\commit. Committing updates the database. Until you do the new config.txt is not recognised.
Now they should be in the correct category in Surveyor. You can change the category of other assets the same way using the table category classes in the CCG.

You have now just done 1 people asset. Repeat this procedure ad nauseum for each people asset. There are hundreds to do if you have a lot of assets.

And when you really get energetic, you can correct all the other misclassified content using the same procedure, of course using the correct class identity !

From what I remember of TRS2006/CMP before I decided to go back to TRS2004/Trainzobjectz, you have to edit the config.txt files one at a time because CMP doesn't have a bulk-edit feature. Good luck.

Really appepreciate the answer. Now, I have a lot of fixes. Might even translate the German to English, if that is possible.
