Some content creatores seam to have missed / ignored that

I think the fine print only relates to how Auran redistribute the content, not other users. Other users are free to modify content how they wish for personal use. Redistributing for the general public or profiteering for any other reason is genreally frowned upon.

It however, doesn't say about what you own and statements previously put by Lance Jago mentions that the IPR belong to the author, not auran.

This probably means that we are all bound to copyright law until auran changes their EULA.

I know some creators have a massive problem with that and they can ask for the content to be removed. It has happened before.

To be honest, what is the problem with asking a creator what the situation is? After all, they write the EULA (hence why there is probably nothing in most scenarios as most creators don't bother with the EULA), they make the content, you just use it.

If anyone wants to see the position of my content, there is a statement on my site clarifying the position.

For those modders and reskinners wondering about the status of my content, I genernally work on 99% of my objects, as freeware and open for editing by anyone. I have very little restriction on my content. This means that you may legally use my content in any way that you see fit for the purpose and distribute it any way you feel free to. I generally have a few rules and I would be greatful if you could follow them:

• Please tell me what you have done to my object.
• Please tell me where you have put the updates.
• Please also provide me with a copy for archive purposes. (contact link is on this site)

In addition to archiving, I will be actively seeking to also add reskins to my objects, in beta or in release. I do this to keep everything in one place and everyone knows where to find the link to a reskin of my object. If you do not want me to host a link to your work that is based on my work, please do say so when you pass me the copy for archiving.
