Adding Skin Changer to an Existing Model

I want to combine some assets that share the same basic skin and ARN (like weathered versions of clean railcars & engines) so that it will be one asset with multiple changing skins (to free up space). How can I configure a skin changer so that a model that has only one skin can have multiple skins?

Actually relatively easy. Take a look at my CP 28' boxcar,<kuid:633834:100596> and CP 28' boxcar textures,<kuid:633834:100605> This started out life as one of mendacious' 28' boxcar on TPR and he was kind enough to allow me to do this. I learned the technic from pencil42's ore cars btw.

Good luck!

That may be true but when you are dealing with half mile plus long strings it sure helps to have auto numbering and if you have auto numbering it's nice if there is some texture variation.

I tend to use half a dozen slightly different wagons with different numbers mixed randomly but that's only for fifty / sixty wagons. In the 1930s UK goods trains had many different wagons mixed together so the problem doesn't really arise so much apart from coal trains.
