Would be nice if there was an era option also! I got a download for 30s cars, but are no trucks included. I am looking into making my trucks a traffice add-on, but not sure how to do without omiting all the other cars as yet!The cars on the roads of a route are defined in the region kuid for your route. Look in the route's config.txt file. If the region tag doesn't actually show the kuid number you can use this table to find them:
Australia,<kuid:-1:7801>
United Kingdom,<kuid:-1:7803>
United States,<kuid:-1:7804>
Germany,<kuid:-1:7808>
France,<kuid:149301:1003>
PTP Region,<kuid:151900:1>

Hi Bob,
I've tried many times to add more cars to my route. The instructions are always very vague and no matter what I do, nothing seems to work. I was told originally to add the cars to my config.txt file in my route. I was told to add car0, car1, car2, etc. However, nobody has ever made it clear what to do afterwards. Do you use the kuids? Or the names of the vehicles, etc.
Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks
Trainz knows that all builtin vehicles are of the default form kuid:-1:xxxxx so car1 35 is effectively car1 <kuid:-1:35> and car2 100638 is car2 <kuid:-1:100638>. I think this shorthand method was only used for earier versions of Trainz.Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I did a search and this is exactly what I needed. The only problem seems to be that my US region's config file in TS09 looks like this instead of the above:
car0 34
car1 35
car2 100638
car3 28
car4 30
car5 100622
car6 32
car7 100526
car8 37
car9 38
car10 100527
car11 41
car12 100624
How would I change these to an asset kuid of say, 67598:29001?
Cheerio,
Nicholas.
