Adding new baseboards in HD mode

Now that we are restricted to only 16 textures per baseboard in HD mode it makes little sense that when we add a new baseboard that it already comes with a texture added. In most cases this is not a texture that many of us will use, so unless we completely cover it up, we are now down to just 15 textures that we can choose and use.

It would be nice if there was a way to add blank baseboards with no texture, so at least we could make the decision of which 16 textures to use.

I have my Trainz Plus set to automatically start with a baseboard that is covered with a default grid pattern. All new baseboards added have that grid pattern and not a texture.

To do this I set the Region: in the Route Editor (open the Edit Menu, select Edit Route) to a region asset that has the standard TRS19 grid pattern set as the default.
There are several available on the DLS. For example: <kuid:45176:100437> United States with TRS19 Grid.

If you save a new route with that region set then Trainz will remember it as your default setting for all new routes and all new baseboards.

The Display Menu (4th from the left) has a Ground option with sub-options - Textured, Transparent and Grid - which will also set the baseboard cover but will not remember it the next time you start Trainz.

Thanks. The first solution with the kuid does the trick. The second idea using the display menu does not solve the problem because if you cycle through grid options using "F9" the textured grid still is there so there is no advantage to using this option if the objective is to add baseboards without texture.
