Adding Content - NEWBIE Question Please

Hello,

I am trying to add new content to my TRAINZ.
Problem 1 is my connection to Planet AURAN. I can connect via my Browser but my program Options do not connect.
Problem 2 -do I use the Content Manager to do this task?. I downloaded the content that I bought to my computer but the "Planet" connection does not occur - but I can connect if
I go to the site and login.

Two questions.

1. Have you allowed Trainz and it's related programs access to the Internet through your firewall?
2. Did you remember to add your username and password under Options > Planet Auran on the Launcher?

Hello,
I did add it in the options first.
My connection is OK now. The login became valid when I reentered it in the Browser data in the Content Manager.

For Newbie here: When I purchase new assets for my TRAINZ- what is the proper process to use to get it into TRAINZ?

This will depend on what you purchased and where from. For Downloadable Content packs, the exact installation method will also depend on the 5-digit number on the Launcher screen.

Hello,

I bought Norfolk Western - Norfolk Southern Pack from Simulator Central.
The download is an RAR file (NW-NS Pack.rar)
The contents are CDP files and no install documentation.

Now what?

It's the first screen that appears when you double-click the Trainz shortcut, containing Start, Content, Options, Exit and a few other options.

That may affect things.

Try using Import CDP in the File Menu of the Content Manager tool (Content on the Launcher) to import the content.

Shane, if the cdp files come in a .rar file, shouldn't he have to take the cdp's out of the rar file first inorder to install them to the game?

rar or zip I just open and drag to CMP file to CM window.
No big deal if just CMP file double click, the CM does not even have to be open.
Even if the asset is in a folder open CM drag drop to CM window.
This is not rocket science.

Depends on the RAR software he's using. He may already have done that step.
