Hi. Before I deleted all my Trainz 2006 and before files and programs, I saved one CDP of my complete 2006 route. It is green in color and says Archive.
As a totally none computer person how can I add my old route to my new 2009 program

Hello

Double click the CDP Archive file and then commit the assets in 09's CMP.

Commit in TRS2006 means to add the asset to the Trainz database. The commit operation will convert, all numberical values in the config.txt file from ASCII character format (which is the viewable form for the numbers that requires one multi-byte character for each digit) to binary format or 1's and 0's, and renames the file to config.chump. This format requires a little less storage space but makes finding and loading stuff much quicker when you start Trainz Surveyor or Driver. If you have TRS2004 to compare with, you'll see the advantage.

Commit in TRS2009 does all of the above plus separates files into hash tables which further enhances the lookup process. If I told you any more I'd have to kill you:cool:
