Based on some of the UK car crash videos, I tend to believe that, and likewise with Australian ones too.

That is understandable for Australians though. I would also be confused being upside down and trying figure out which side of the road to drive on.

When we were in Australia in 2015, the biggest problem we had was not being on the left side of the road. It was being on the right side of the car. Driving in the center of your lane really becomes automatic for your brain after 50 years of driving. It really took a great deal of concentration for the first few days to make sure I was driving down the center of the lane and not on the edge of the road were the giant pot holes lived.

I would expect that number to be a lot closer to 50% .
