A Trainz'er turns 1 year old

Thai1On

Slave to my route
I was just thinking I had bought/downloaded T2010 Christmas last year and I'm surprised what I've learned in just 1 year! I've learned to create routes, correct most errors, and reskin assets just to name a few things. I would like to thank the Trainz community for tolerating my many questions and helping me to learn to enjoy this new hobby. I know there is so much more to learn but that is part of the fun of this hobby. Seeing the L&A coming to life is a childhood dream come true because of size and financial constraints it could never happen in real life.

I find the generosity of many of the content creators is simply amazing! My route now has a number beautiful steam locomotives, rolling stock, buildings, trees, grass, and too many other items to mention, thank you!:Y: Even on a Thai school teachers salary I have managed to get some nice payware items like TransDEM and a number of locomotives to further continue in this hobby.

So there you have it, a newbie turns 1 year old. I hope other newbies reading this and feeling over whelmed will have hope they too can and will create their own empire or possibly go along the route as a content creator. Where ever you passion lays take your time, experiment, and ask a lot of questions as you will find this forum is very helpful!

I'm happy to be part of the wonderful world of Trainz!

Happy Anniverary!
Happy New Year!
And Happy New Years to that lovely Thai maiden who tried to teach me the language, so many, many, years ago........

Congratulations Dave on surviving your first year, it is probably the hardest :hehe:

Now that you are entering your second year of your Trainz apprenticeship I am sure you will find continued help and knowledge from the forum and community. It is the great members and creators of this community and forum that hold our hobby together.

All the best for 2012.

Congratulations Dave: Before long you will be passing your expertise on to others. The first (and hardest) year is now behind you.

Hey Dave, glad you stayed with us for the year! I have noticed all your input here, and am happy to say you have navigated the newbie waters well! We always need fresh horses, so a newer member such as yourself is much appreciated.:)

Congrats Dave,
The first year is as hard as it is exciting. I have also completed my first year and I hope yours was as enjoyable as mine.
