A thing I miss in this version of Trainz

Trainz Driver
In previous versions of Trainz we had this nice little driver commandbar on the bottom of your screen where we could input commands. In this version it aint there, sure we can click the side button and bring it back up but that disables your control of the train. So my question is can we get an option or is there an option to keep that bar active while still in control of your train ? I always use the bar to give commands like play a sound file such as a conductors whistle or an all aboard sound file or even to open passenger doors when i want.
If the option exist already i would love to know how if not then please devs give us the option.

Patrick31 - The driver command bar is still there - just toggle the command overlay on the HUD (bottom right) by clicking on the Driver Mode toggle DOTS to reveal the different Driver Modes (including AI, DCC and Cab-mode).

I know its still there but enabling it now with the dots disables control of the train it never was like this in previous versions, an option to switch there wile keeping control would be a small solution best would be an option to keep it visible while also having the control overlay hud

Yes - I understand what you're saying there - and agree that there should be a better option...
I'm sure that in earlier TRS2019 builds the behaviour was different - Just lately it seems that now, when you try to change driver mode whilst running the loco in focus, the controls are zeroed for some reason, causing the train to slow down rapidly or even stop until you activate the new set of controls.

Exactly I hope this will get changed.

On the subject of Driver Commands, for the devs can a scroll function be implemented, I have a lot of driver comma ds and the list goes beyond the bottom of the screen so not all are visable, a way to scroll in that active list would be nice. I'm talking about driver commands that are active to use when choosing to give a driver command.

Btw I see topic now says solved but it aint solved until it's fixed or changed in game lol

When you control right click on your engine a ton of menu options open up. Are those the commands you are looking to use?

Yeah they are, was just hoping to have the command bar for easy access, and that list would be nice to have a scroll function because my command list is too long lol

Another down side I find is when you stop your train at a station or an industry it takes away complete control of the train, you have to wait to finish loading and unloading. An option to keep control would be nice maybe add a button along with it to manually load and unload with a press of a key. But atleast give us the option to not give up control. Very annoying specially if you just need to stop for a signal that happens to be at an industry loading.

I second getting rid of this behaviour. It is also very annoying if you are struggling to start a heavy train from a station and stall briefly. It's also annoying that it resets all your controls back to default after the enforced pause.

Yes, that really is annoying. This happens in T:ANE also from what I remember - I haven't used T:ANE in quite some time now since TRS19 has come out. (Now I feel guilty thinking about it!).

A thing I miss is being able to enable commands in driver, in TRS2019 you can only enable commands in surveyor.

Nope incorrect. You can enter in the commands on the fly. Click on the three dots on the right to scroll through DCC (Easy mode), and Cab-control, to bring up the commands. There you will see the double ^ and you enter in your commands there. The problem now is if your AI is driving and you want to change something in the commands, this stops the driver rather than allowing you to input the commands on the fly while in motion.

Problem is also that when you are driving it will stop the train completely becuse you switched controls with the dots. They really need to change it so it will not stop the train. Just like it doesnt give away command of your own train when at an industry. These things are so annoying

Yes. I agree. It's there, but it stops the train which is annoying. Although that should be an option because this is helpful when the AI is assigned switching tasks.

The issue with the command bar disappearing has always been there. The difference now it disappears for a bit longer. I remember cab-mode driving some trains and having them get stuck at passenger stations where suddenly as I'm pulling away slowly, like you're supposed to, but instead the controls disappear and ruin everything. This has been an issue since TRS2010 at least.

That's not what I meant, in TANE you can enable commands like blowing horns, bells, and ETC in quick drive while in TRS2019 you have to create a new session and enable them in Surveyor.

Yup I see that!

Report it as a bug. That used to be part of the package before in T:ANE and I agree this is a very useful thing that has been removed. GRRR!

Before they do that and put it back as it was once they better add a scroll functionality into it because my driver command list is too long as it is already and i dont even have them all selected, making it a window you can scroll in would solve that issue

What build are you using? In 98299, there is a scroll bar in the command bar. And new commands can be added to the AI during a running session.
