A Suggestion for People Installing TRS2009

TRS 2009 needs a minimum of 3.41 gigabytes for the instalation alone. More space will be needed for additional routes and assets.

Before installing the software, you should do some serious housekeeping to ensure that TRS2009 has the greatest chance of running smoothly:

1. Run CCleaner or similar to remove all unnecessary garbage from your hard disk. If you don't do this, empty the Recycle Bin at least.
2. Switch off your Anti-Virus software. (Essential for step 3.)
3. Run a Defrag Utility (Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmenter) to ensure Trainz isn't spread all over your hard disk like a train wreck.
4. Reboot the computer (This will restart your Anti-Virus software and ensure all other programs are closed)
5. Install Trainz as instructed.
6. Reboot your computer.

The whole process should take under an hour and greatly improve the performance of TRS2009.
