Do you think that RailDriver will have support for Trainz: A New Era. I already have Trainz 12 and I was thinking of buying RailDriver for Trainz: A New Era.
Yes, but PI Engineering will have to produce a new utility once we know what the TANE Retail final looks like. TANE has a different folder structure, so we can't just use the TS12 version.
So does this new version have a 64-bit edition, and does it work with Windows8.1 instead of fighting it like previous trainz versions? And has any kind of debugging been done at all prior to release?

Yes, T:ANE CE1.1 is a 64bit edition, and it works just fine with my Windows 8.1 Pro. Since it is still a beta, bugs fly around frequently but they have managed to squash many of them.

Glad to hear that the bugs are being fixed. I however will be sitting back and waiting to see what the final T:ANE release looks like before I buy it. So I hope it'll be impressive enough to convince me to buy it.

Congratulations on a sensible decision. It cuts out all the agonising over whether your pre-order (of whatever type) is/will be worth the money or not.

Great - the next question is, have they done away with the usual 'disable anti-virus programs and install as administrator, run as administrator' advice on earlier versions, so the program is actally installed and run as a user? This should be the case if the devs actually understand Windows.
I stopped playing the previous version of trains due to some sort of issue with the trains decoupling for no reason on one of the levels. Don't think that was ever fixed. Not buying this version until you read reviews.
