A little confused ...

I hope this doesn't sound like a dumb, FAQ-like, question ... but I don't quite get what Trainz Classics is ... is it basically the next version of Trainz ... like a Trainz 2007 version?

Hi,

Yes this has been asked before, but in my opinion it,s worth asking again, because I have,nt as yet seen a definitive reply.

Having purchased TC I admit it runs great as a stand-alone game, but as a owner of UTC, 2004 and 2006 I would have liked to have been able to transfer custom routes into TC, and up now I am failing miserably.

Therefore in my opinion it is not like a Trainz2007, because such a game would have been compatible with past versions.

Regards, John

Yes, but the graphics havent been upgraded much if thats your question. Auran did away with much of the built in cotent that came with Trainz 2006. While this was a good idea as a great deal of that content was faulty, many routes will have permamently missing assets now. The intent is to release new routes as extra payware content in shorter intervals - what some other companies could call episodic content ala. Half Life 2 from valve.

There is a Trainz 2007, but that is just TRS2006 with SP1. The Gold version has French regional addons. It was made for editions of TRS2006 that didn't have a SP1 upgrade avalible.

For your information... TRS2007 is a FRENCH ONLY release and is just 2006 with Sp1
