A Great Idea for a Layout

Looks good to me. Someone has gone to the trouble of filming it because it interested them. It's great what you can find on YouTube.

Yup. I started one ages ago and like many routes that get started, this one got binned after a hard drive crash. Fletcher Quarry is located about 40 miles west of me in Westford and has a short rail line down to a connection with Pan Am Railways in North Chelmsford.

At one time there were probably dozens if not more of this kind of operation all over the place, especially up in the Cape Anne area near Rockport and Gloucester. Remember one of the earliest railroads in the US was the Granite Railroad in Quincy, MA.

There are lot of railway videos on Youtube.com that display cab views of a train traveling on routes around the world.
Especially routes around Britain and the London metropolitan lines that are well worth watching.
They can be useful to help map out a route for Trainz.

I think I've subscribed to all of them. :)

When I run out of ideas, I'll watch the videos as they are a great source of inspiration for getting back into route building. I particularly like the old videos of train action done in the 1940s to 1960s.
