A Few Dumb Questions?

also another stupid question: if I download an asset like <KUID:665199:100010> from the DLS with it's uploaded after March 2015 under 3.5 build number, do I download it with the white pages "Download with Content Manager" button?

No you can still download that asset via Content Manager since it's on the DLS. You just can't upload assets of that version.

even in TRS19?

Yup. As long as it's on the DLS and it can be searched for you can download it.

Try adding in all the columns, and in particular include the build-version they're good for other things as well.

I went one step further than this for testing and setup this filter.

On Download Station true
Minimum Build Version 3.5
Obsolete False
Installed False.
AND NOT
Minimum Build Version 3.6

This narrowed down everything to 3.5 only.

To access these other search capabilities, click on the downward facing arrow on the left located next to install. This will give you fields you can edit.
Change the first, lower level Installed to On Download Station. That will default to true.
To add in additional parameters, click on the + located on the far right side of the window, and add in the other fields as required.

Hope this helps.

but what about if it only shows up on the white pages and not in CM?

That usually indicates that the asset has been repaired by the CRG and that the database hasn't sync'd yet. the white pages DLS will update first before Content Manager.

What is the asset? I'll take a look at it.

<KUID2:128368:590260:1>
for example this one I heard doesn't show in some CM versions because of it's build number (uploaded in 2018 with a 2010 build number)

There are some assets like that. It may be hidden from regular download for some reason, but can be downloaded if needed due to being a dependency.

any chance of sorting things out and clean up??

@Alikiwi

in your post #1 i first thought your header was meant funny but the longer time goes bye waiting for your answer to allow me to replyto it in an orderly fashion.
Although it seems you like to route quality as such (which is appreciated) your further comments are foggy and incorrect and for that reason i need to know what specific route your are talking about.
Almost one week past and seeing you answering other posts or commenting to feed the thread it not helps my case you seem to have problems with.
So far i not hear from anyone the lack of industries in general as there are sufficient not to go into overkill and ruining the route as such.
To enlighten you, if you allow me so, talking about Canadian Rockies ther is not one route neamed that way!
ALL my routes for tane are starting with Canadian Rocky Mountain routes and my TRS19 routes with TRS19 Canadian Rocky Mountain routes and than the specific route coverage.
If you ever have time to visit Revelstoke as example there you will be avalanched by multiple industries with orders and request but i made it easy on users there is no must nor hurry to complete the orders.
See what i absolutely not like about OP is there is a sort of complain and things missing but any follow up to sort out in a timely manner the OP personal problems is impossible and so this post stays for me as a negative stain on my beautiful TANE and TRS19 Canadian Rocky Mountain routes in general. NOT appreciated AT ALL.

Well, I'm feeling kinda dumb, and yes I can hear the laughter. This is TRS19 in general and the Canadian Rockies specifically. To start with, I can only find 2 industries on that lovely route, the timber yard in Golden, and a Quarry further north. Surely I'm going blind, there must be more than that but they allude me. On a more general topic, is it my imagination of is the AI in TRS19 more useless than a dead snail in the desert? Again, I must be missing something, but the AI refuses to drive into the lumber yard no matter what. I doubt it's due to a lack of a connection of the two tracks at the far end, which prevents anyone doing a run around. The other even sillier situation is an AI at the top end of the route refusing to start because two points/switches, are set against it. Since when did they loose the ability to throw switches to suit their needs? So, if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong and/or missing please enlighten me. :o

another stupid question: how do you rename assets in TRS19's content manager?

You need to change the name in the config.txt file. Right-click on the asset and choose Open... Edit Config File text.

In the file, opened in Notepad by default, you'll find various things such as parameters and references to various functions such as smoke, if there is any, and references to attachment points.

Look for the tag username. You can edit anything within the quotes. Do not touch the spacing and ensure the quotes are there on both ends.
The line is formatted similar to this:

username <big space here>"House with blue trim"

(Note <big space here> is just to show there's a big space).

Once you are done editing, save and close the file.

You then submit the asset so it will appear in Surveyor. Right-click on the asset and choose submit. This takes a second or two, or sometimes longer if the asset is big.

After you are done, check faulty assets to ensure you didn't mess something else up. If there's an error, check your work.

Note: You can't do this for built-in or DLC (payware) assets.
