750mm Freelance NG Module

...could you perhaps take an aerial screenshot of your route?

Would a composite mini-map do? Click for a larger version. I should have paid more attention to the compass rose, but you get the picture. If you think of this as a proto Trainz route you are in for a disappointment - if you think of it as a selectively compressed model railway you are going to have a lot of fun...

Andy,

This is awesome work, and truly shows the real potential the simulator has.

I was showing off your work to a coworker today. He's been hooked line and sinker into Trainz now! All he said was he better not show this to his son because he'll never be able to get to the computer himself! :D

Really great Content Red Shark but i am having a problem trying to extract any of the file's i download from Trainzup mate, I can download the Winzip folders ok to my desktop but when i try to extract the CDP it comes up with this error.
" CRC mismatch in file " this is for anything from Trainzup so am i doing sumthing wrong when trying to extract the cdp from the folder ?. I really want to grab a heap of Content from there as it is awesome stuff but for the life of me i can't work out how to. Is anyone else having problems as i havn't seen this mentioned before so i hope sumbody can help. Sorry for going off topic Andy but keep up the awesome work.
Cheers Mick.

I'm hungry.
I read the entire theme from the first page. I went to the site and looked at Andy's there all the screenshots. I have a saliva flowing. It will be a route on which I do not have to change.
Oh my god. Send me patience.
Oh how I'm hungry ...

Just a note to anybody downloading Russian content into TS10/12. Content Manager does not recognise the Cyrillic script used in some cdp names. The 'fix' is to simply rename the cdp file before installing. The name chosen is irrelevant, it can be anything.

@ John & Pofig - Thankyou :)

@ nuni - it isn't, but I see what you mean!

@ RED_S Thanks for the links.

Andy,

Back at it after a month's Surveyor lay-off. Every now and again I just have to walk away for a while or go mad LOL.

Anyway this one is getting towards done - it will definitely be released before Christmas, probably well before!

RED if you are still following the thread I need one more place name. Have you a suggestion for a small town with some industry set on a river or lake port...

Welcome back Andy.

Wow. What a nice shot!

The view is beautifully composed and great example of very well honed Surveyor skills. Those seamless road/rail connections are perfectly done.

That angle will make a great fixed or tracking camera view.

Brilliant work as usual!

Cheers

Andy,

How many speedtreez "types" is the show performance stats in driver tool show for your new route?

I'm just curious because I'm sorting out some things on my wip route.

@ Casper & Mick - Thanks!

@ rastis - Maddy's 'YARN' system - exactly one road and two intersections :)

@ Pofig - Freelance route LOL. The levers are wrong, I know that, but I like that particular lever because the lever itself is somewhat removed from the junction and by flipping the left and right hand versions about it is often possible to sneak a lever into an otherwise impossibly tight corner. I have still had to make a reduced-offset version for really tight spots, but it works. The levers are a re-skin of a French lever and will be released with the route.

@ dricketts - Not sure what you are asking. The 'Types' in the stats report is not an absolute count, but refers to the number of types currently loaded and varies a bit. The thing with a route this small though is that from the center of the route, pretty much everything is loaded. Anyway, 'Types' is typically 70 ish, 'Instances' is typically 2k - 3k. A CM count shows 91 total speedtrees currently used on the route. Subject to change without notice!

Andy ;)
