Pennsylvania once had thousands of miles of NG RR's that were easily uprooted and relaid, as they pulled up their tracks once an area was depleted of resources, and recycled the ties and rails, to get at new remote locations, so as to harvest out that new untapped resource. (In PA almost every tree was cut down, at one time or another, and most areas were totally clear-cut, and massive erosion took place).
I'd love to build one, there are some scenically spectacular Russian NG routes. The hold-up is that there are other projects in front of it, and the language barrier made it a bit hard last time I tried to work out where there was a good potential route complete with decent Google Earth (or similar) images....
I have just completed reading all 32 pages of this thread and downloaded the route/content. I have not installed anything yet because I am not sure what will happen since I've upgraded to TS2012SP1HF1. So far, all I can say is 'wow', what a route. If the screenshots are any indication, I'm going to have a real ball with this compact route.
I can, if necessary, install it into TS2010, but I would much rather user TS2012 (the latest, if not, perhaps, the greatest :hehe if it is possible, Dermmy.
The route is built in TS10 44088 but was also tested in TS12 49922, beyond that you are on your own!
I do have an ongoing discussion via PM with a user who has issues with one loco sub dependency - CM might be throwing up an odd error. I'd appreciate any feedback.
