70 Years and still Working

Steam Nut
Youtube threw this at me and I couldn't help but grin. 71 year old little switcher, watched dieselization, many scars (see number boards missing, chunk of the plow/pilot smashed off form what looks like a very bad rail), with paint from 2 fallen flags showing, and it still putting around moving cars of scrap. I hope they keep it running for many years to come :hehe:

Built to last, not like some of the Throw away junk (disposable on purpose) nice find......Thank you Sir......;)

Thanks John,
That was a very interesting video.
That loco is the same age as me and I have some scars on my bodywork too :D

Just to think how nice that must have looked back in the fifties and how proud the engineer must have been to drive it!

Cheers,
Graham

Built to last, indeed. Sadly, Guilford destroyed their working SW8s and SW9s along with everything else.
