3rd Rail Track Help

I have some 3rd rail track that came with trainz 12 mac. You basically can use the same commands for windows on a mac. I want to know how you choose the side of the third rail on the track. I know for junctions, you have to use a different track altogether. For tunnels, you have to get a 3rd rail tunnel.

How do you decide which side the 3rd rail is on? I plan to use a lot of NYCTA trains like the R46, R62, Bstyles's R142 when it comes out, and the R143 by Jaleel once I get it fixed.

Also I am going to use the MN P32AC-DM, Shoreliners, M7s, Multi-Level cab cars too. And they all need the 3rd rail. Thanks guys.

The third rail will always be on a certain side (left or right) when you lay the track. To have it on the opposite side, lay the track in the opposite direction.

In other words, if you are heading north and the rail is on the right, to get the rail on the left, lay track from north to south.
