i am alive and well and taking lifeboat drills on the roof top deck for the third time in 12 weeks. seriously parts of QLD and Northern NSW have been battered by a torrential rains and high windsover the past few days . For some of us its the third time in 12 weeks that we have faced this problem, my home town is preparing for the worst again as rain threatens to flood the town again. the weather forcasts are now brought to us by Gene Kelly Supertramp and BJ thomas. "Singing in the rain" "Its raining again" and "rain drops keep falling on my head"

i can say with some authority now for the time being i hate rain.

i just hope those fellow trainzers that call the north coast home are safe and well along with all the other residents that call this area home.

cheers

And to think its been 15 years (13 years official drought) since we have had a good rain in this neck of the woods :(
How about turning on a big fan and sending some of it south :D

Cheers David

My parents are in Ballina NSW and their bottom floor is under half meter of water at the moment. And just got another storm coming in. Told her too send some water to SA we sorely need it, just not the high winds and destruction.

Cheers

We had our fill, and sent the excess to Ghosty...

I had to drive through some "rivers" (read as roads with water where it doesn't belong) for work on Wednesday, and I was afraid the car would drown. Thankfully it didn't, but a workmate tried the whole amphibious thing on another car, and failed miserably. Another day of heavy rain, and even getting to work would have been near impossible. Shorncliffe line nearly went under in two places...

It's been raining here in the suburbs of Sydney for the past few days. I'm sick of it. They reckon it will rain all weekend. What a way to spend the last weekend in Sydney before moving to Western Australia, where I believe it is also raining in Perth.

Regards to all,
Warren.

it could have been worse, many up here have had to watch as water came inside for the third time in 12 weeks.there are a few up here that share the same feeling warren as it seems every four to six weeks we are getting flooded, hopefully no more major downpours this place needs to dry out its so flipping soggy underfoot.

i am buying a kit project to have in case of emergency. its a submarine. i am also asking for davits to be installed on the roof top so i can do lifeboat drills.

While you all do have my sympathies, this is what Lake Colac looked like a couple of weeks ago, and no rain since to put some water in it.

That bit of green grass is only that way because they water (treated) it

Can I please put in an order for about 5,000 mega litre's for each and every Lake in the district as they are all like this, and maybe a couple of feet of the stuff for the once mighty River Murray

Cheers David

Yes, it's tough all over! This afternoon I have to pick up my children from their Grandmother's house. It's going to be about 70 degrees F and clear, but...get this, a moderate pollen count! I may have to close the windows and put the fan on!

To think the whole weekend is going to be like this! I hope I can make it through!:hehe:
