Ish,
The issue is most programmers today are young kids who can see ant footprints without problems. They don't take into consideration display scaling and older folks who may wear glasses and assume everyone has the same eyesight fidelity they have.
This isn't just an issue with 3ds Max and can be found with many devices and programs.
Having a large screen usually means a much higher resolution and thus tiny text, better of with something like a 17 inch at 1440 x 990 or for a large monitor, reduce the resolution.
I don't have 3D Max, but would the Windows built-in Magnifier work 'in-program' for Ish?
Accessibility options like Magnifier can be invoked just in time to view tiny text and then turned off as desired.
Do you know what is quite remarkable?
This Windows key + Plus (+) key utility ALSO works in T:ANE!! Possibly this could be helpful for some partially-sighted individuals in Content Manager, especially for those dim, greyed-out text lines.
Just tried it on one of my sessions. (Cannot see a good reason for doing so, however, except for hard-to-read menu items, etc., as the default in-game zoom keys work pretty well for most use-cases).
It worked, after a brief, microsecond delay. Don't forget to exit via the Windows + Esc key combo afterwards, otherwise there might be unintended display glitches.
