Hi everybody, I more or less abandoned Trainz about 1.5 years but I have installed TRS2012 and I decided to start "oldifying" the Durham area of the ECML route. I lost a few hours work due to a crash which identified itself as "The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver due to exceeding the Windows Time-Out Limit and is unable to continue". This occurred again today and I lost 3 HOURS work! I have searched the web and only found one solution which was to set the "REG_DWORD value to 0 turns of TDR" whatever the hell that means. The value is currently at 7 but I am terrified that if I type in 0 I am going to crash my PC. Has anyone encountered this problem and was this a viable solution?
I really, really want to like Trainz but I have just utterly wasted a large part of the day and if I was allowed to swear on this forum my post would be full of expletives.
Sorry, rant over.

See here, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2665946 Microsoft fix it tool at the bottom of the page, if you don't fancy editing the registry.

Unrelated, but, One should "Save" a route every 1/2 hour or more ... I once lost 16 hours of work by accidentally hitting "Don't Save" ... lol
