3" disk burn to CD??

Just a thought, could it be an old external ZIP disc drive? Do you have removable discs which look like a floppy disc but slightly thicker? I have one of these which I used before CD burners became popular. It connected with a short cable to the parallel port on the computer (the one printers were connected to). You could get 100mb on each removable disc.

If it is a parallel port ZIP drive, I have the driver software for it which allows Windows XP to communicate with it.

You guys sure know your computers.
Even the name of all those connector cables.
This drive came with the computer, I don't remember if it was an extra or it was included with the laptop.
I remember it cost about twice as much as my new one that is about ten times better:hehe:

I don't think it's called a zip drive!!!
Well I will get this problem solved before I forget what I'm trying to do.
I'm going to get the attachment you suggested Bill.

Thank you guys so much for your time an patience.

Hi

I would like to ask the computer experts a question.
I have a program for making up switchlist for my layout downstairs, and it's on those old 3" disk so I can't load it in this computer.
I have a laptop that I have this program loaded in.
Is it possible that I can burn this program to a cd on the laptop so I can use it on this computer??

Thanks for your help.
Bob

Hi,

3" Amstrad/Schneider (German)?
You need a 3" Floppy hardware, a program to read this disc. Google means "22 disc" can do this.

If you need more help, pm me.
