2009 Route & WIP Download

Thank you very much for this information guys, it's inspired me to start working on the route tonight using the latest build.

To start off with I'll have a look at the track that's missing. You will find the mine does not load in native mode so the locos can't navigate there. It's on the DLS, but on the DLS it's a direct link to the VMD Website for the coal mine. At present it's a compatibility mode route. With the trees situation it will stay that way for the foreseeable future.
 
It's an old layout, it never made it to the DLS, if you send a PM to Communist, he may help you with your request.

The route is now running in 2012. All content is available from the DLS or is in the Seattle & Carlise Expansion pack. Possibly some vegetation will be from the ST-4 JVC payware pack, but will function perfectly well if you don't have thi payware pack.

I will post an updated WIP version for beta testing during the weekend, it's currently being remodelled for British steam era. Not specific steam era date though as there just isn't enough specific date content for such a large route to be prototypically exact.

Thanks very much indeed Leon, this is brilliant, I'm downloading all the DLS content as I type, I've already had a look at the map and it looks great in TS12, even without the missing vegetation, will probably spoil it now by putting some smelly diesels on to take some screenshots of the route.......:p

Current Updates for WIP 2012 version:

1. Replaced Trees
2. Updated 25 baseboards of signaling to UK Steam era.
3. Added Power station to Garret's Forest with coal pit, sorting yard, sheds, and turn-around slip. Lots of vegetation. 2 new Signal boxes and nearby signals

4. Filled in missing surrounding scenery at Dunmore station.

5. Added private Goods yard at Garret's forest

6. Updated Wilston Spire quarry tunnels.

7. Updated Wilston Spire Coal Mine, added run-around slip for loco.

I appear to be missing certain items from your route, young man. I've replaced a lot of the trees and spline bushes with some of Pofig's excellent SpeedTreez which look good on most British routes, but, apart from the missing Payare foliage from Jankvis, I have some anomolies with the roads, tracks, missing level crossing barriers, floating luggage and lamposts and there doesn't appear to be any names on the map of stations, mines, forests, etc, was this deliberate on your part ??

I've put a few screenies up of what I can see are missing, maybe you can advise, please Leon. I've installed the route 3 times just to ensure that I hadn't corrupted anything, but, the missing assets don't change.

All the stations are named on this 2012 updated version I'm working with at the moment, not sure why they are not appearing for you on the 2009 versions, as I've just been working from that one, Don't worry too much about missing content Steve. The comments I have made about the route all refer to this 2012 unreleased version.

I'll post it when I have a spare moment during the weekend. 11:20pm Friday night, and nearly finished my work.... ;)
 
Very good Sir, I'll leave it for the time being until you release your next instalment. It runs very smoothly in TS12 anyway, Leon, it's wicked......:hehe:

It does seem to be running very smoothly doesn't it, I wasn't sure if it was my new system (6 core with 8 gig ram+gforce 9800gtx). I remember putting in a few months trying to make it work in native mode for 2009, then after patching it was all messed up. We maybe seeing the benefit of that work now.

will post new version tomorrow, ok time for sleep now. :)
