2006 content in 2009

Im new, Im considering buying Trainz 2009, but my interest in it is mostly as a train sim that I can engineer a Shay, Hiesler, or Climax locomotive on classic logging layouts.

I've found a large supply of 3rd party content that has these locomotives on www.trainzone.co.nz but it's labeled as 2006 content. I would like to use 2009 because I have vista.

Would I be able to use the "2006" content in 2009?

yes, most trainz 2006 content can be used in ts09.

and of the 2006 content which might not work, I'd guess the creators would generally be willing to help you tweak it so that it will work in TS 2009.

with the very only exception of non working alphas mystery, which needs to be solved first to be possibly tweaked afterwards
