1Km squares with 2010?

Acidfree

Dogey Route Bilder
I have been using 1Km squares with Google earth in Tz2006 no problems.
I now have Tz1010 and tried to do the same, although the maps are in a deferent folder (Original not Local)
when adding 1Km to the route the base map is visible a,b,c ect. but NO picture. (Not in Compatibility mode)

Is there something I'm doing wrong, or Is that it wont work with TZ2010.

Please help

You need to edit the BaseMap object and replace the 1K bitmap with the map image you are using, or import the ones you have from before using CMP.

Use CM 3.2 to edit the basemap object.
Find it in the list of locally installed assets.
Clone it - it'll open up for edit, and as one of your objects.
Edit the asset in Explorer (right click on the asset - the option is on the list).
Copy in your texture file (map).
Close the folder.
Commit the Basmap Asset Object by pressing CTRL-M

You should be all set.

I recommend renaming the asset so you remember what it's called.
In the Asset preview windows, edit the description to what you want it to be.

Importing is done through the File Menu. Choose File... Import and browse to where you have your original Basmaps.

Hope this helps.

For the record, basemap blocks in Trainz 2006 are 720m on a side, not 1km. The yellow grid is on a 10m interval. No sure why Auran elected to do it that way. That said, there is no law against using 1km squares. Just keep in mind that rulers and locations will not match.
