0-6-0....It Ain't Happenin'

Hello guys! I'm new to the forum but have been an avid Trainz user since 2004 (I have TRS2004, 2006, Classics 1&2, and TS2009). Before I got TS2009, I always enjoyed using Bill's NYC 0-6-0 in TRS2006 as well as Cincy's reskins. Now that I bought TS2009, none of the 0-6-0s work! I tried downloading AltoDave's UP 0-6-0, and the boiler, engine, cab and tender show up in the Railyard and Surveyor, but the drivers aren't there! :'( It's literally just a running boiler. I've given up on trying to track ALL the dependencies for Bill's 0-6-0, because all of the ones I still need are completely gone. Obsolete, deleted, God knows what. It's really got me frustrated because it was once such a fantastic little steamer and now I've got a locomotive with air for drivers. Can anyone help me with this? Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Hmm. If you downloaded and installed the TRS2009 version correctly it should work. I've tried it with a virgin '09 and it works perfectly.

Could it be an issue with your '09 rather than the locomotive?

Phil

I don't know. Could it be the order I downloaded the locomotive parts? I first downloaded and committed ALL of the dependencies, then downloaded and committed the locomotive. I've already had to reinstall TS2009 once before, but that was only two weeks ago! Ugh....I don't know what the problem is. Thanks anyway Phil.

P.S. I just downloaded some great GP40-2s and a Port de Montreal switcher for TS2009 from USLW. Fantastic! :udrool: Horns sounds and detail are amazing! I also downloaded a GP30, GP15, and GP40-2 from RRMods in SOO, Conrail, and NJT liveries respectively. :udrool: They are also fantastic locomotives! Detailed exterior, great horn sound, everything! My point? I've got plenty of other wonderful trains to distract me, so if this 0-6-0 problem can't be fixed, don't take it as a burden, it's not a problem, really.

Yes the USA does have steam engines in this arrangement but these were built for railroad yard switching not mainline use like the UK but it is just the risk of wear on the drivers to cause the locomotive to be shopped for repairs which is bad and if you want a mainline locomotive how about a 2-8-0 consolidation or a 4-8-2 mountain that can haul moderate loads not heavy ones like big boys and challengers can!
