TRS22 (TRS19, too) Map issues and suggested improvement

Yes, it's frustrating, especially when N3V has a Black Friday discount on DLC. Why invest any more in a system that is so fundamentally unplayable? By the way, the "workaround" is to go to roaming camera and rotate to top view before going to map view. This will align ground view with map view. 🙄

    TRS2019 and TRS22- Solved

Well, from reading your question, I think that the answer is in the affirmative. YES, you can run them independently, AS LONG AS you keep the data folders separate. The only drawback is hard drive space and managing all that data!

TRS22 (TRS19, too) Map issues and suggested improvement

Well, I have tried numerous sessions on various routes and have found them consistently frustrating when in a train yard with multiple parallel tracks (where sessions most likely start), and required switching. I find it impossible to zoom in sufficiently to really see the junction switches...

TRS22 (TRS19, too) Map issues and suggested improvement

I finally was able to get the SP update through the TRS22 Beta stream; the main stream kept failing. Of course, I went straight to the original post steps. Yes, things are different, and perhaps very slightly improved, but not really. Thanks to everyone for your good responses.

TRS22 (TRS19, too) Map issues and suggested improvement

The following issue has been around a while in Map Mode, since the days the zoom takes the user in and out of the Map Mode (e.g., TRS19 also): 1. Load up "Midwestern Branch - TRS19" Route, and the "Night of the Twister" Session. 2. Notice that you face two complicating factors: darkness and...

I've Never Seen This in Trainz Yet...

Has anyone modeled a train fire yet? This screenshot is from the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvMl8LUzQnk. This scene is complete with fire engines and all!

    Cabless Booster

I was surprised to see a SD45-2B in a YouTube video, realizing that cabless boosters are still in use even today (BNSF, for example). All that I have in my inventory are F7B, which are fairly common on DLS. Apparently, US factory-built boosters are as follows, according to Wikipedia...

Making it REAL: Tips for adding realistic flair to your layouts...

Okay, I have seen quite a few layouts: most adequate, innovative, and well-done, and then a few mind-blowing and exceptional. The difference is easy to see, but knowing exactly what makes the difference is at times elusive. Looking closer, you notice that fields look like fields rather than...

    Kauai Plantation Railway Project Idea...

I just came across this real-life layout: You couldn't ask for a better Model Railroad layout that actually exists! I was thinking that this might be a good practice route to refine my route-building skills. Any ideas?

    Has anyone animated crew changes?

I was thinking about common train footage on videos, and realized that crew changes are a popular subject that I have never seen implemented in Trainz. Has anyone actually ever animated loco shift changes at predefined crew change locations? Maybe I'll have to add this to my bucket list...

Am I missing something, or do y'all have great eyes in Surveyor mode?

Okay, I am trying to produce a basic route in Surveyor mode, but heaven help me, I can't see those tiny little icons... And the asset rotating around in that tiny little window is there simply to taunt me, right? No one is expecting me to actually be able to see it, are they? That huge loco...

Is anyone prototyping the Finger Lakes Railroad?

I was blown away last Saturday when driving along Route 20/5 in Geneva, New York. Right there at the north end of Seneca Lake was a veritable train museum on rails! The Finger Lakes engines were freshly painted, and some of the more vintage cars were fascinating, to say the least...

How many drive-by enthusiasts are out there?

I am noticing screen shots with such amazing detail that I wonder if they are created as static; that is, fixed camera drive-by type sessions as opposed to a route of any length. Conceivably, Trainz could be used to generate realistic-looking video captures of singles scenes, much like K&L...

Wishlist: A sub-forum for route planning and data gathering

I would like to re-create three railroad areas in time: Hendricks, Douglas, and Thomas, West Virginia, circa 1920; Ceredo-Kenova to Huntington, West Virginia, circa 1970; and Lahaina Kaanapali Railroad’s Sugar Cane Train. The first is the most historically intensive, requiring a lot of data...
