    Coal production & Delivery Issues

Following a bit of a rest from Trainz, I have realised that:- 1) The Seaport uses 20ft and 40 ft containers. My consists were using BR flat cars - these use a different size container. Of course they won't work... Me Dummy!

    RULE Return Trainz Car

It seems to be used only with TLR. For example, AI driver will load coal, drive to power station and unload. This command then appears in the TLR display to return the consist to its starting position. It doesn’t appear to be useful for a set of driver instructions.

Can I use TLR for passenger industries?

I can see the TLR working for 2 track station (up and down lines), but I suspect the single line working could be difficult - how does the AI know which direction to use? I guess multitrack stations (eg Reading UK with about a dozen platforms) will happen in round 15!

    Sessions

Unfortunately, the naming systems are the responsibility of the author - this means that there's no foolproof way to find sessions for a given route. The best I can offer is to customise the content manager filters... Filters in order:- Location - DLS category - route OR category - session...

    Long distance TLR

Hi, from N3V’s reply in another thread, the problem is that the industry.gs script used within the asset (e,g “container.gs” - it’s renamed to match the kuid description) needs to be updated for TLR. It may then help with assets that have stopped operation with TS22. Apparently it’s a simple...

Content Manager - determine when Route or Session modified

Hi, If you hover the mouse over a session for a few moments, it will show a small pop-up with the time & date.....

Trains won’t load or unload with Living Railroad

Thanks, I’ll check it out in one of the layouts. Colin later... That's the one I'm using. In TS12 (and earlier) it worked in both directions....

Trains won’t load or unload with Living Railroad

Yes, the coal mine (basic), power station (basic) and refinery are expected to work (hard coded recently). The Oil field has only one interactive track... Any other asset with multiple tracks will still be a probelm... Cheers, Colin

    Coal production & Delivery Issues

Check out the info from PW3R in the TLR forum about bugs:x ” Correct, the industry assets in question will need new script support for this to function. As a temporary measure for the early versions, we've "hard coded" this behaviour for a few builtin assets (Coal Mine Basic, Lumber Mill Basic...

    Coal production & Delivery Issues

Just a second thought - are you driving manually (ie yourself or setting the commands) or trying TLR? the latter can be very picky about industries, direction of travel. also, check you mine has plenty coal,

The lack of modern UK or Europe routes.

Hi, The DEM data is indeed quite good - the problem I have is the map tile servers - I can use the OS maps, but a lot of the details like junctions bridges etc is just not helpful. I attempted to create a model of the Reading Station area (yes, it's more complex than 10 years' ago!) but I ended...

The lack of modern UK or Europe routes.

In a small way I’ve been trying to create some uk routes. One of my problems is trying to use transdem with the Uk map servers - USA & EU have much better coverage

Trains won’t load or unload with Living Railroad

Playing with TLR, I was reminded of one caveat in the original notice:- sometimes a train running with wagons in front won’t load/unload. in an old (TRS 2006) route without any TLR obviously, one industry would only load from one direction - though some were multidirectional. Looks like the...
