i am fully aware this is a first attempt to get a seasonal route up and running with the tools,time and hang of doing things the best way we can. i not see your post as negative but as a reimnder how much work has to be put into if any to make 1 mtr snow on roof tops which timely is not realistic on 3rd party content........
i choose for the option to get some snow on top to contrast and not just flat plain white. Also Trainz TS12 does not reflect very well daytime along light color and contrast very well so that adds to the problem of getting a solution not to bad.
Pofig complained to me and he is a good trainzer friend of mine that the color of the trees snow was dirty not realistic. i did not changed anything to the trees so the same tree shows too white or to dirty at certain time of the day.
Here is my experience from the past when i took pictures most times i choose sunset sunrise to get a good atmosphere, contrast etc the rest of the day by times was plain horrible and now I talk about my favorite Speedtrees.
The good news now is my speedtree routes with "no" snow on trees together with my seasoned winterized items would do well and give a more balanced look and feel of winter scenes.
I think Jankvis will check this thread and read to see if there is anything that need to be corrected on to white snow on trees or to dirty snow on trees at certain time of day...
My personal opinion is we have a more than acceptable real working "season by calendar" for TS12 rout. i am not aware other great content creators attempted what i did and just created separate route for different season but im might be wrong.
Anyway i will continue to winterize the other 2600 items as good as possible.
i will ask Jan if he can make a series with dabs of snow not heavy snow to match slight snow on roofs .
