The Erecting Hall Screenshot thread

It is indeed a mostly finished ATSF 2900 class Northern. The T&E Northerns you have seen in game shots of are based off of this model.

Which I also finished the Vanderbilt tender for. Just need to get the ARN working

<awesome pics snipped to save precious bandwidth.>

Bloody show off lol. Keep up the great work Trainman7616! :)

BTW just out of sheer curiosity, what kind of polycounts are you getting with these stunning locomotives?

Thank you, and as for poly counts I will add them here.

Pilot truck = 7,720
Drive Wheels = 21,286
Trailing truck = 19,734
Engine = 79,971
Tender = 16,233

Combined total = 144,942 polys.

The ATSF engine is sitting around the same count. My assets are extremely poly heavy because I personally dislike Levels of Detail so I don't make them.

Some stuff that has been brewing over time in the Vinco division. NREX SD45T-2 (6811), PRLX SD45T-2 (2842, 2832, and 2833), Inland Steel (12001, 12002, 12003, and 12004), and LPB SD45T-2s (insert 16 numbers in the 400 range here). The NREX engine needs some touch ups but the rest are done.

They look great Vinnie.

As for me, I got my tender ARN working. Now for the second tender to be build, then onto the next engine.

oh yes, I thought they looked like the WM Potomacs. Would re-skinning it into Western Maryland colors be too hard?

In theory no but I'm going to say yes because everything is the wrong size for a Potomac, only thing that is a Potomac is the looks, the front looks anyway. the massive air tanks in the back are an idea from the Frisco T-54 Mountains.

Nah, theres alot of differences. headlight being wrong for 1, the rock knocker (a.k.a plow) is wrong, drive wheels are to big, pistons are wrong, piping is different, wrong type of sand dome, cab on the potomac is a enclosed weather cab where as mine isnt, the front is still different than the actual potomac. but I may make a new northern in the future. Once I get my box tender built and ingame im moving on to my next engine on my roster.
