Which cars to load/unload 40 ft containers at Seaport?

I have had limited success getting this to work in the past. I'm working on a new route and have probably tried most of the wellcars in the DLS with no success. I have zeroed out all of the other commodities in Seaport and have set the train car commodity for 40 ft Container only. Seaport still won't recognize the loads and the train just cruises through at 11mph. I have also tried Container Station (which is supposed to load AND unload containers) but have the same problem, no load or unload. In both instances the train slows, but does not stop to load/unload.

If you're running a recent version of Trainz and have had success with loading/unloading container cars, would you please let me know which cars you are using? Are you using the Auran 40 ft container commodity? Knowing this may not solve the problem, but using a known good freight car should help me troubleshoot.

Or, as a last resort, is there another container industry that works with Trainz 2022?

Thanks in advance!!

a lot of majekear 40 50 ft flat cars load them, my texas and rio grande well cars load the aurun contaniers also.

other option is modify what ever freight car to accept what ever type of 40 containers the sea port has configed. note the freight car has to have the same type of commodities as the seaport ie same kuid or they will not load or unload

there is a lot of differnt 40 containers by differnt people on the dls, most well cars only are coinfigred to take certain ones. what is the kuid or name of the sea port you are trying to use?

I have been using strictly cars that use the Auran 40 ft container, which is what both Seaport and Container Station use. Haven't had any luck. I will try the cars you recommended and see if I have better success. Thanks for the tip!

When I started to play Trainz in 2006, I created this table, I had a quick check, all train cars are still available except 'CB Woodchips_Condola' (maybe the name changed)

Thanks very much for the chart (and all the time consuming work you undoubtedly spent assembling it). I've saved it to PDF for a handy reference. In the end, I still couldn't get Seaport to cooperate, so ditched that plan and am using the "Multiple Industry New" commodity, which (so far) works flawlessly with any car I throw at it.

also put a 5 mph speed sign i a bit in frount of the load unload point, i find that helps also
Thanks for all of the tips - they're much appreciated and I did try them all. For whatever reason, I'm still striking out with both the "Seaport" and "Container Station" industries. I tested the "Multiple Industry New" industry, and everything I've tested so far seems to load and unload just fine. So, it looks like I'll be using that and designing and building my own seaport. It probably won't look as slick and polished as the Auran Seaport, but it will function.

Try placing the MIN tracks over the built-in ones that aren't operating properly. If you do this carefully, you can lower the MIN tracks so that they are buried up to the height of the Auran tracks so that the Auran tracks look like guiderails.

I'll give this a try. Thanks for the info.

downloaded the seaport, and it worked for me using my one texas wellcar, and 40 50 flat cars in trainz 19, did not even need to put in speed signs like the container industry
