Tumbler Ridge Project

Can't wait to see how the bridge turns out. BTW what are the girder splines you used in the first pic?

Currently just a modded version of mike's girder bridge. There's a similar version in the JR freeware scenery section.

Thanks guys, here's an update on the GF6C.

For future note, this model is going to be very intensive on the PC since it may or may not exceed 100k polys since I'm modelling the interior electrical equipment and the equipment on the roof being very highly detailed. Overall, the loco will be very very detailed.

Major bridge number 2 begins. This bridge is what will go under the floating tracks in a previous pic.

oops, render I had shown of the bridge is actually only half of it. Here's a better one.

anyways, spent a fair bit of time in the mountains this time around.

I like electrified Railroads :)

Very nice looking work state screens. I can imagine that will be a nice route at the end.

Your's TUME

Thank you TUME, your works are an inspiration to my project. It means a lot to hear from you :)

I'm having a lot of fun running a quick test session on my route. It's just how it operated in real life. Electrics bring loaded train down to requested hand off track, where CN locos await pickup. Train is handed off and the electrics await empties to bring back up for loading.

Most of the progress since last time has just been catenary, road, and river laying. No real texturing to show so I'll avoid that. On the other hand here's this gondola. Now I wait for T:ane

Was fed up with how difficult it was getting to find assets for winter/dead stuff. Decided summer was easier and better looking. Might be some of the last progress shots on this old PC. Already have a GTX 970 waiting..

Remember when I said it may or may not exceed 100k polys? well it managed to reach 158k without the basic interior mesh. yeah r.i.p computer

Wow. I'm going to need a new computer if I want to run this route. Well done!
Can I ask what happened to the other electric you were making? (GM6C I think?)

Great looking route and it looks really exciting!

Have you thought about how you might package this route since it includes JVC payware trees? I believe I have a delima coming with my WIP route. I've been using Pofig's trees which I really enjoy but rumor is they are not going to work in TANE.

If you don't mind me asking, what are your computer specs? As I am looking to upgrade, if you're running into issues now, I'd like to get ahead of the curve for the purpose of future enjoyment! It'd be a shame to stumble through a route like this with single-digit FPS.
