New CP Route In Wisconsin WIP

BNSF train V-PTLCSX, heads out of the BNSF yard here in La Crosse as it is about to cross the tracks of the CP here at Grand Crossing

Back at switching out the army base here at Fort McCoy

We first go into the base and pull out the empty boxcars and flatcars...You can see some of the cars here at the siding on the south side of the base, this place is called south post....Anything south of HWY 21 is called south post and anything north of HWY 21 is called north post

Pulling the cut of cars to take to the WYE near the CP main line where a UP crew will come and pick these cars up

Pulling up to the WYE track where we will shove these cars down the line for the UP crew to pick em on up

With the cars spotted, time to head back to the engine shed on the north post...The tracks on the right belong to the Canadian Pacific

Caught some CP double stack trains as well.....

1 here at La Crosse with a single CEFX loco

And then another over near Wisconsin Dells with a trio of CP SD40-2's

The La Crosse, WI - Portage, WI Road Switcher leaves the yard and heads east to start the day as it crosses the BNSF mainline at Grand Crossing

Nice work!

Setting up those light poles on the bridge must have been an ugly thing.

;)

Not really.....4 clicks and it was done....Place the start, place the end, adjust the height on both ends and wall-la....All done....They come on a spline ;)

The UP's Adams, WI - Winona, MN wayfreight leaves UP tracks and exits the CP tunnel at Tunnel City, WI. This train has had the same engines for years - UP 2018 and UP 2024 - which necessitated this attempt at something different!

After passing through the CP tunnel at Tunnel City, WI, the UP's Adams, WI - Winona, MN train gets on double-track near Fort McCoy and heads west.

Adams, WI - Winona, MN Merchandise Train on CP trackage rights heads west through La Crosse.

Well the tracks in these pix were not laid by me....007007 laid these tracks, but the detail was done by me....

A sulfur train cruises on thru La Crosse lead by 2 SD60's and passing some GP's idling near the yard office awaiting there next assignment

The La Crosse switcher heads out of the yard and heads to the west side of town towards the industrial park

But we stayed in La Crosse to see what other trains we can catch

West Salem Local

Took a spin to town on the local to the feed mill, running into town to run around our train

Running LHF back thru town

Making the shove to the mill

All done, took a walk to Taco Bell for lunch with the loco sitting on the siding here in town, keeping the main clear of Amtrak and other CP and UP freights

A Weston Wisconsin bound coal train #884 heads thru La Crosse

Passing over the BNSF here at Grand Crossing
