New Computer Incoming

Complete System Not Tested??? That really concerns me........ Cheaply made Computer if the computer was not even tested.. Yikes

I don't see anywhere that says the computer was tested or not. All computers are made as cheap as possible to suit the retailers price points and maximise profit margins, whether it be a $500 or a $5000 computer.
You'll find that very few computers are actually tested, maybe one or two out of a batch if they are mass produced, like HP, Dell etc. Manufacturers expect a certain percentage to fail and be RMA'ed and the expected failure rate is built into the price, either retail or wholesale. Sometimes you aren't even getting a new computer! When I was running a large computer store, one of my salespeople was setting up a laptop of a well known brand on display and found a video of a technician looking into the webcam while he ran some tests on it. He obviously then skipped the important step of reloading the OS image after he found the laptop worked ok. We were granted an immediate RMA at the manfacturers expense and an extra rebate on our next order. 😁

The Alienware line of computers is definitely tested and burned-in prior to shipping to the customer. This is expected since this is Dell's premium line of desktops and laptops.
