New CM "Modified" and "Open for Edit" status behaviour

Correct me if I'm wrong! But the assets has been updated 13/14 times do you think the author ran into some issues and did not notice them prior to releasing the updated assets?

Only 3 of the last 4 of those versions are listed by my CM. All the others are labeled as <unknown asset> which usually means that they were never uploaded to the DLS. It is not unusual for creators to make several updated versions of an asset before releasing the latest version to the DLS. I have done that myself on occasion.

It is also not unusual for gaps to appear in the updated sequence of kuid values that are on the DLS (e.g. a jump from :3 to :6) for the same reason. Again, I have done that.

That can send Content Manager into a snit if a route or some other asset has the base asset referenced in the config.txt file but the updated KUID:2 version is installed.

Quite possibly but in the case of the PCS - Wooden sleepers stack asset, the last 4 versions listed by my CM (for both Trainz Plus and TRS22PE) are:-

<kuid2:132952:101201:10> PCS - Sleeper Stack Wood 9m TS
<kuid2:132952:101201:11>
<kuid2:132952:101201:12> PCS - Wooden sleepers stack TS
<kuid2:132952:101201:13> PCS - Wooden sleepers stack

:11 is an <unknown asset> as are all those before :10 so CM, in my versions at least, seems to be able to handle it.

This is fine for routes installed from the DLS but if you were to import a route from a CDP that refers to PC - Wooden sleepers with <kuid2:132952:101201:10> and you installed <kuid2:132952:101201:13>, CM will have a snit and report <kuid2:132952:101201:10>as still missing. It's annoying to say the least. It's then I perform some surgery on one of the downloaded "replacements" and back-version the kuid to match the one the route is looking for. Sometimes, I'll then download the latest version again and obsolete the one I just put in.
