Paintshed has been usable in Trainz since TS2006. If you want to reskin an asset use a graphics program such as Gimp or PaintShopPro.

I need some help making some changes to the speeds and tractive efforts of bdaneal's locomotives. I used the information provided in the config file to figure out the exact tractive effort and it's max speed using the Steam Locomotive Designer found on www.steamlocomotive.com. To find this, go to the tab on the top of the website titled 'Builders/Specs,' scroll down and place your mouse over 'specifications,' and click on 'Steam Locomotive Designer' on the list that appears on the right of 'specifications' (you need the boiler pressure (psi), driver diameter (in inches), cylinder diameter (in inches) and piston stroke (in inches)(the measurements are based what would be produced on a 0.1% grade (the results would be crazy high))). You need Java to use it. Here's the tractive effort and the speed for the different downloads (all use friction bearings and 2 cyliners):

Baldwin heavy 2-8-2M:
Tractive effort: 40,800lbs
Maximum Speed: 67mph

Baldwin light 2-8-2:
Tractive effort: 30,600lbs
Maximum Speed: 58mph

Baldwin heavy 2-8-2H:
Tractive effort: 47,672lbs
Maximum Speed: 67mph

USRA Light 2-8-2:
Tractive effort: 54,724lbs
Maximum Speed: 73mph

USRA Light 4-8-2:
Tractive effort: 53,883lbs
Maximum Speed: 79mph

USRA Light 2-10-2:
Tractive effort: 69,575lbs
Maximum Speed: 67mph

Baldwin medium 2-8-0M:
Tractive effort: 31,824lbs
Maximum Speed: 60mph

Baldwin medium 2-8-0H:
Tractive effort: 31,824lbs
Maximum Speed: 60mph

Baldwin 4-6-0M:
Tractive effort: 25,665lbs
Maximum Speed: 72mph

Baldwin 4-6-0H:
Tractive effort: 23,690lbs
Maximum Speed: 72mph
I'm going to continue this in another message.

Enginespec spreadsheet link

Download Billegulla's Universal steam e-specs 09,<kuid2:81997:51009:3> which has a link to his spreadsheet that generates a steam engine spec and also has instructions on how to use it. Open it for Edit in Explorer to read the included readme.txt file.

Thanks for this!

pb15,<kuid:-3:10105> is the enginesound for the QR PB15 loco and is builtin to all versions of Trainz since UTC. If you don't have it you might have a faulty installation.

kuid:96914:54516 may be found at http://www.steammachine.com/bdaneal/ngdl.htm. Go to the link and scroll down to find EBT Heavy 2-8-2 #17 and download file ebt-17.cdp.

The rest of your list tells me nothing. Just saying broken or broken dependency means nothing as far anyone being able to help you. You should post the error msg you see in CM. It is easier to just work one faulty loco at a time since the solution to one may apply to the others so you won't have to copy/paste a lot of error msgs. Also post which version you're seeing these problems in.

Thanks for the EBT Heavy tip. It's where I found that kuid that I needed for the 36NG White Pass and Yukon Route engine.
