The VM (Virginia Midland), a fictional railroad, did have a route into eastern Kentucky that stopped at Hazard.
VM was a railroad that merged (in fictional history) with the V&O and the AM.

So in theory, that isn't entirely inaccurate!

Correct. V&O, AM and VM trains could be used on EK.

This is the EK3 with UP & MNA power. The route also reminds me of Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas landscape.

I think these photos really show the detail and dedication Andy put into his routes.
