Interestingly enough, I can no longer find that $9.99 price (or equivalent) on Simulator Central now - it's now just under $40 for TS12.

Shane, you seem to be inferring in the above posting that the offer I quoted was not really available to me. Therefore I have pasted the email received this morning from simulator central to myself. As I am in a restaurant dictating this on my tablet I obviously cannot reproduce all the graphics etc in the the email but the text is exactly as received including my full name which I have never published on the forum before.Email follows:-

Shane, with all respect I realise the you are great supporter of N3V an trainz, but please do not try to discredit me in the eyes of other forum members by inferring that I was not correct in my original posting with regard to the offer.

However, the discussion is not regarding whether the offer was available or not, but rather the lack of support that simulator central give to customers who have downloaded and paid for products on weekends and then find they are unable to use them for whatever the reason.

With regard to buying the boxed version in a British store, I have not seen any trainz products (with the exception of 2006) in the last two years. Therefore the only alternative to download is to order the boxed version through simulator central and then wait several weeks for the product. Why that should be so I am not sure as my company ordered a highly specialised decibel recording appliance from China on Monday and received that on Thursday at no extra cost to the company whatsoever. So why N3V take so long to get there boxed versions customers would seem to be another failure of the company.

I will now get back to my meal, my drink and the company of my amazed friends (lol)

I guess I'm just patient, or something- a couple hours to download and install, it's all good. I've only ever dealt with customer service once, and it took a couple of days, but my service rep, Zec, was efficient and professional, and got the job done on the first try. Quality, not quantity! Of all the software I've ever purchased, Auran's has got to be the most used ever, it never gets old, the quirks are outbalanced by the benefits.
 
I have always used Paypal to purchase from N3V and never had a problem.
As the OP has been able to get the download, it means that N3V have got their money and the problem is with the system not showing the Installation Code. There seems to have been a number of these happenings lately.
Seems like another bug that N3v has developed.

I just bought 12 last weekend from sim centrl also, used CCard and bought 3mo first class ticket. I got code and downloaded in about 30 minutes, then got to play, well... got to get confused is more like it.
Run all the tutorals first, then youll be back here al lot... LOL

I wonder if SC is messed up again. If I recall this was an issue a few months ago.

I don't understand. I bought the same offer and got an instant e-mail with the serial numbers but I also had to download the various components from Simulator Central. When you log on to SC the serial numbers are there in plain view.
 
I received the same offer, and purchased online yesterday using paypal. I have downloaded the files, but I too have the same problem with the serial number telling me that it will be "Issued when payment received". I have checked my paypal and it says that the transaction is complete. Like the OP, I was expecting that I'd be ready to go as soon as my downloads completed!
I guess I will see if it gets sorted out tomorrow (Monday), but it is a rather unfortunate way to experience my first online purchase from here :(

Well, judging from the above gking post there must be a considerable number of us having the same problem with no response from simulator central (N3V) whatsoever. It would seem that the 24-hour society is yet to reach Aus or at least the N3V section of it. No doubt as vinnybarb states in his posting they are all enjoying their weekend barbecues on the beach, but perhaps while they are lying there they could reflect on their customers who are paying for that wonderful weekend with no work and whether they are receiving good service or any service at all from their weekend purchases

Unfortunately, some of us as customers have paid our money and have received the download but no serial numbers and therefore that means in real terms we have received nothing whatsoever.

Like gking I have had PayPal confirm that the payment was transferred to simulator central in the immediate minutes following my confirmation of purchase to them.

I have checked on simulator central which confirms the download but advises that serial numbers will be sent when payment received. And yet I have a “confirmation of purchase email” from simulator central which believe it or not confirms I have purchased.

I have lodged a ticket with the help desk but have only received an automated response that “one of our agents will contact you shortly” obviously that does not include weekends. So, with all the above in mind the only thing any of us can do is to keep bumping this thread in the hope that some employee will notice it and just possibly do something. I have the feeling that someone is monitoring whether the money is coming in from online sales over weekends, as you could bet your life if it was not things would be put right very quickly.

So as stated the 24-hour society is yet to reach N3V as it has done in the rest of the world. Which brings to mind the first series of Star Trek. In that the science officer Spock would inform Captain Kirk very often on contact with alien societies : -

We are aware of an issue where serial numbers aren't being issued with some paypal payments, due to an issue with paypal confirming the payments. We are looking into this, however we have not yet been able to resolve this issue with paypal. I have issued the serial number to your order for you, and you should receive an email with this. If you don't receive this, then you can also access the serial number by logging into the simulator central website, then going to 'my account', then click on 'my serial numbers' on the left hand menu.

Due to spamming issues we no longer have a support email address, and we haven't had an 'official' support email address for quite a long time (we did, for a period, provide one as a secondary contact point when experiencing account issues, but this was never the main contact point and was a temporary measure). If you are experiencing issues with an order, then please use the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the simulator central website, or the helpdesk button at the top of the forums. Please allow 24-48 hours for us to reply, as we only have limited support resources, and as such we are only able to provide responses to support tickets during Australian business hours. Unfortunately, it is not currently possible, or viable, for us to provide 24/7 support, as we are a relatively small company.

Ohh dear, broke my own rule to never order anything on a weekend. Ordered Ts12 download no problem, always pay by Paypal. Payment paid no serial numbers. Never had a problem before so will leave a day then if no serial numbers will contact support desk. My own fault for being too impatiant. Well that's what Trainz does to you.
 
Thanks Andy, I did look at my account just says "waiting for payment" the downloads for Ts12 are available but not the serial numbers.
 
Hi Shane, Unfortunatly it was Paypal. I did not think I would have a problem as all my purchases from Trainz has been this way and recieved downloads and serial numbers instantly. Shane can I still download TS12 and wait for the serial numbers Thanks
 
Yes, you will be able to download it, but not install it until the serial number issue is sorted. Looking at Zec's response above, there seems to be a communication issue between N3V and Paypal.

That's good news as it will take me a couple of days to download. One curious thing though when i purchased a digital download of TS10 (which was on at a reduced price) I have unlimited downloads but I noticed TS12 is restricted to 10 downloads?
