Narrow gauge screenshots

This little corner has been a pest for a long time odd shape not really near anything I could use it for so tried this. a Std gauge transfer to the Canadian Railroads, might put a couple static boxcars on that side to make it look better, added industry door to look like it goes through maybe a big warehouse to the yard on other side.

Any other ideas or comments?

Tom

Added did continue the road to shed and added a 1950 Ford F1 Pickup

15:37 screen shot after alteration, a few sheds and gate person as well.

Nice looking, I should say, stunning pictures in this Thread, and Dan Gavel if you want to run a Loco backwards, so be it, your Road/Route and your Certainly the boss!!!!!

What I like, is your Route looks great as always, attention to detail really shows here..........Keep up the good work.

A few shots of the wayside stopping point at Columbine on the Uintah Railway, this train has 500 tons pulling up 5% grade.

That's a cool route. I have to admitt, as an European I did not previously know such a route existed. I read about it now and it sounds pretty interesting. thanks for broadening up my railway knowledge.

As for my screenshot, here's a Lyd1 with some logging duty coming in, old 1970s/80s color photo style (I was aiming at the same colordistortion as happens to old color photos, especially those of WARPAC states example https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gFRQpfHo...Life+in+Hungary+during+the+1970s+%2817%29.jpg):

And a charcoal of a Px48 on the same 750mm route, moving some freight:

Keep up the good work folks , v nice pics, we need to keep the NG flag flying as so many people are into standard gauge modern era items. I do fear that with the loss of Ben Dorsey we will find it harder to replace or add to the items we have available to use. If gmax models become redundant in future trainz releases we are up the creek as far as updating routes is concerned . I was hoping to get some uintah locos built by an excellent modeller who said he would have a go this year, but he's now making standard gauge stuff for a different continent altogether , which of course is his right to do, I don't own his time, but I have concerns that we may find it harder to operate in this sphere in the future unless a new genre ration of modellers join our ranks.

I've been applying more vegetation at Mcandews lake on the Uintah , most of its now done, my 2gb gtx 680 card is slowing a bit , if I had have a newer 4gb rx 580 or so it would run well I think. train of stock awaits clearance to make a run for the summit

sometime around the late 1920s they added more buildings here

the first hairpin, this was a 65 degree curve, about 110 ft wide, i cant make it that narrow as track will not bend this tight without kinking

after navigating the second hairpin its a slog to the summit rarely less than 5%

Zsuda,

Thank you for your screenshots, I'm pleased to see my G42 Garratt actually doing some work. The real G42 is still working for her living on the Puffing Billy railway in Victoria, she was built in 1925 with her sister G41. 93 years old, just over 3 years older than me.

It is good to see the increasing interest in narrow gauge railways. To all posters here, keep up the good work.

To Ardaeshir. I suggest that your load is Peat, once widely used for heating.

narrowgauge.

i agree, is that stuff on the DLS? , i was always surprised on how little machinery there is to use in workshops. we could do with much more , lathes . presses , crucibles etc

Much of it is on the DLS but all the names are in German so I always have a hard time finding them. I don't even know the author's name.

.. thanks narrowgauge, for your creation ... very, very nice hardworking loc ..

Sugar beets ? Or manure :-)

We have a winner, indeed these are sugar beets. I was hoping the hit providing the time of year instead of the date would make people think it is an agricultural product.

During the crisis of the 80s and early 90s, autumn sugar beet transports were the factor that kept many narrow gauge railways here from being dismantled. Today they function perfectly fine, usually most income is from tourism.

To Ardaeshir. I suggest that your load is Peat, once widely used for heating.
This wouldn't be that bad of a guess, as many of the NG railways in Central Poland did in fact carry peat. Though peat would normally be carried in metal wagons rather than these wooden trucks.
