Kuids

This is an explanation from one of the TRS2004 manuals. Hope this answers your question.

The KUID (or Koolthingz Unique IDentifier) system is a way of identifying content for your TRS2004 software. As TRS2004’s precursor, Trainz, developed there was more and more content being produced by the Trainz community. We had to come up with a way of giving each piece of content a unique identifying number so the software could identify content from any source. Here is an example:
43750:100001:001
The first digits of the KUID (before the colon; 43750 in this example) identify the content creator. All content from any particular author will have the same first set of digits. When you register at Planet Auran, you will be given a unique content creator ID. so any content that you may create will be identified your content creator ID.

To further clarify, original objects are identified as kuid:userid:eek:bjectid. Example is kuid:123456:654321.
Revisions to this kuid will be numbered as kuid2:userid:eek:bjectid:version. Example is kuid2:123456:654321:1.
The next versions would be kuid2:123456:654321:2.
