Anyone video tape trains, please post some of your work. Would love to see what people have recorded on their gunzelling adventures.

I bought a cam corder last year and haven't used it very much up until yesterday. I've been uploading some videos to YouTube and would like to share.

The first one I'll post has a bit of history behind it.

This train was involved in a level crossing incident when it struck a garbage truck. Lead unit 2196F was heavily damaged as a result and is now out of service.

I recorded these two earlier in the year.

2311-2315 hauling coal through Karabin

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbD2cJecMec&feature=channel_page

Single unit 2339 hauling empties through Wacol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikegFrVRMVk&feature=channel_page

The next few are my most recent recordings.

2308-1743D hauling the North bound Sunlander through Wooloowin in Suburban Brisbane.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qm8Flb9JD6s&feature=channel_page

The next few feature a brief airshow.

2311-2331 hauling grain through Walloon on outer suburban Rosewood line.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE1pHzy0LD8&feature=channel_page

An introduction from an F-111 fighter then 2347-2357 haul a down coalie through Karrabin. Again, this location is on the Rosewood line.

Finally, we have another airshow as a C-17 Globemaster passes by. 2359-2322 hauls a down coalie through Karrabin.

Please post anything you may have done, hope to see what people have been doing.:)

I don't film trains, I record them, namely because my camcorder records to an SD card:p

I'd edit and upload some stuff to YouTube, but I am as yet unaware of any programs that can edit and convert AVCHD .mts files. It's a bit annoying really because it's all HD (1080i, I'm looking into getting a 1080p cam) and I do have some fairly good footage of nigh anything that has to do with railroading in Germany. Maybe if one of you guys had some advice...;)

Read My signature, you can find some train vids, but I got other stuff uploaded as well.

No but if I had a camcorder I would go to a safe location near the railroad tracks and start taping some trains go by!

I've been doing HD video.

I'll be uploading more soon.

I use a Sony HDR-FX7 camera and an Azden SGM-1X shotgun microphone. I need to get an attenuator box, but other than that it's an awesome setup. I use Sony Vegas to edit my videos as well.

This Saturday and Sunday August 15-16, at the East Braod Top RR, Rockhill/Orbisonia, Pa is a Civil War encampment, with Union and Confederate troops, and a cannon will fire every hour..it would be neat if some videographer would film this RR event.

Hi Col

Have been filming trains for a number of years but have been a bit too shy to put them on the net e.g. youtube.

Might go through my collection and see if I can find some worthy of uploading.

Hey Rowdy, can always send that collection my way, for my personal enjoyment - and yes, I film them as well (when I'm up toowoomba way).
