Thanks to Greeni for remapping the texturing, and altering a few bits to the mesh for it to work :D

LSWR Drummond F9 'Bug' class passes Norden Gates heading towards Norden Park and Ride. This odd little locomotive was scrapped around 1957 and featured a carriage unit and locomotive cab and boiler all fitted to the same chassis, giving a wheel arrangement of 4-2-4. Dugald Drummond often used it for inspection of the line and for commuting to and from his offices, and it had a reported speed in excess of 85mph!

This shot is a 'what might have been' had the bug been preserved, however it is not completely without basis; although the locomotive section and chassis were scrapped, the saloon section is currently preserved in a garden of a B&B in Swanage; if you travel on the line you can clearly see it from the passing train. Maybe one day the Bug will run again?

Great shots everyone!

Just a few from me today. I don't normally go for BR Blue, but as BR Blue trains were nevertheless seen on the Swanage Branch towards the end I thought why not?

Here we see class 33 33110 hauling a 4TC set from Swanage, bound for Wareham and London. It is seen initially at Creech Bottom Crossing:

And later along the line on the downwards gradient towards the River Frome:

Seen approaching Wareham from the remaining albeit disused bay platform and then from the footbridge:

And finally after a brief stop, accelerating away towards Poole and London Waterloo:

The 4TC set is actually klambert's excellent 4VEP model.
