Part 3 takes us from West Robson ( elev. 1420 ft) to the summit at Farron (elev. 4000 ft) on a 25 mile climb. The video (6.41min) follows CPR#41 West Robson to Elholt Jct mixed daily freight with helper and pusher engines climbing the 2.2% grade in December 1901.
This video is shot the day after a snow storm with bright winter sunlight. The route climbs along the Lower Arrow Lake, crosses inland along Brooklyn Creek, cuts through the 2991 ft Bull Dog Tunnel and follows Dog Creek to the summit at Farron.
