steam on a diesel engine

Love this product. I like driving the high speed hst trains.
Why are they animated like a steam train.
Copious amount of smoke pouring out of the engine when parked at a station.
Other diesel engines do this as well. How do I turn this off

This will depend on how the creator has configured their locomotive. Some creators may prefer to have a darker exhaust on the locomotive all of the time, or when driven in specific ways. Others may setup their locomotive to have a much cleaner exhaust when idle, or all of the time.
